Raul D. Campilho was born in 1979. In 2003 he graduated in mechanical engineering at Instituto Superior de Engenharia do Porto (ISEP), Porto, Portugal. He completed his M.S. degree in 2006 and his Ph.D. in 2009, both in Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP), Porto, Portugal. Campilho currently serves as an Assistant Professor at ISEP and at Universidade Lusófona do Porto (ULP), where he teaches in the areas of mechanical engineering and industrial management. He is an active researcher in the fields of numerical modeling, finite element methods, cohesive zone models for fracture behavior, and adhesive joint design.

Dr. Gordon Huang is a Tier 1 Canada Research Chair in Energy and Environment, and Executive Director of the Institute for Energy, Environment and Sustainable Communities at the University of Regina, Canada. He holds BSC from Peking University (China), MSc from Simon Fraser University (Canada) and PhD from McMaster University (Canada). Since the 1990s, Huang has led or been involved in over 100 environment-related research projects, produced over 600 peer-refereed international journal papers, and supervised over 100 Master/PhD students. He is the president of the International Society for Environmental Information Sciences. He has also served the United Nations as an international expert in the field of risk management for drinking water safety. The integrated simulation, optimization and risk assessment techniques which he proposed have been used by peers in studying water resources and environmental systems in a number of countries.

Dr Xing-Gang Yan received the B.Sc. Degree from Shaanxi Normal University, in 1985, the M.Sc. Degree from Qufu Normal University in 1991, and the Ph.D. Degree of Engineering from Northeastern University, China in 1997. Currently, he is Associate Professor of Control Engineering at the University of Kent, United Kingdom. He worked as a Research Fellow/Research Associate in the Northwestern Polytechnical University, and the University of Hong Kong, China, Nanyang Technological University, Singapore and the University of Leicester, United Kingdom. He was a Lecturer in Qingdao University, China from 1991 to 1994. He is an IEEE member, IET member, HEA Fellow and a Charted Engineer. He received the Best Application Paper Award of ASian Control Conference (ASCC) in Fukuoka, Japan in 2019, and the Outstanding Editor-in-Chief from Bilingual Publishing Group in 2022. He serves as the member of the Editorial Board of several engineering journals including IET Control Theory and Applications, Journal of Franklin Institute, Complexity and Energies etc., and the member of TPC for a number of international conferences. He has published three books, six invited book chapters and over 200 referred papers in the area of control engineering. His research interests including sliding mode control, decentralised control, fault detection and isolation, and time delay systems with applications.

Prof. Tokeer Ahmad is graduated from IIT Roorkee and Ph.D. from IIT Delhi. Presently, he is full Professor at Department of Chemistry, Jamia Millia Islamia, New Delhi since 2019. Prof. Ahmad has supervised 16 PhD’s, 84 postgraduates, 10 projects, published 219 research papers, one patent and three books with research citation of 9400, h-index of 57 and i10-index of 175. Prof. Ahmad is active reviewer of 199 journals, delivered 211 Invited talks, evaluated 69 external doctoral theses and presented 138 conference papers. Prof. Ahmad is the recipient of CRSI Bronze Medal, MRSI Medal, SMC Bronze Medal, ISCAS Medal, Inspired Teacher’s President of India Award, DST-DFG award, IIT Delhi Alumni Faculty Award, Distinguished Scientist Award, Dr. S. Goran Strbac is a Professor of Energy Systems, with extensive experience in advanced modelling and analysis of operation, planning, security and economics of energy systems. He led the development of novel advanced analysis approaches and methodologies that have been extensively used to inform industry, governments and regulatory bodies about the role and value of emerging new technologies and systems in supporting cost effective evolution to smart low carbon energy future. He is currently Director of the joint Imperial-Tsinghua Research Centre on Intelligent Power and Energy Systems, Leading Author in IPCC WG 3, Member of OFGEM RIIO-2 Challenging Group, Member of the UK Smart System Forum, Member of the European Technology and Innovation Platform for Smart Networks for the Energy Transition, and Member of the Joint EU Programme in Energy Systems Integration of the European Energy Research Alliance. Steve Oseruvwoja BEng (Hons) AdvDip MSc is a business development researcher with an interest in sustainable manufacturing. Steve has been involved with engineered materials for use in modern manufacturing enterprise including the associated environmental considerations. These materials are prevalently plastics (e.g. bio-based), ceramics, metals, composites & wood. Steve has expertise in industrial material selection for designing sturdy, resilient structures or products that can resist intense use and hard conditions. In particular, Steve has experience which tend to give producers more options innovatively for their manufacturing requirements."

João Manuel R. S. Tavares graduated in Mechanical Engineering at the Universidade do Porto, Portugal in 1992. He also earned his M.Sc. degree and Ph.D. degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Universidade do Porto in 1995 and 2001, and attained his Habilitation in Mechanical Engineering in 2015 from the same University. He is a senior researcher at the Instituto de Ciência e Inovação em Engenharia Mecânica e Engenharia Industrial (INEGI) and a Full Professor at the Department of Mechanical Engineering (DEMec) of the Faculdade de Engenharia da Universidade do Porto (FEUP). He has been the Head of DEMec since June 2023. João Tavares is co-editor of more than 80 books, co-author of more than 50 book chapters, 650 articles in international and national journals and conferences, and 3 international and 3 national patents. Dr. Sheikh Islam is the Head of Engineering at University of Staffordshire, bringing over 13 years of experience in academia and industry to his role. Dr. Islam's prior teaching leadership positions include serving as an Associate Dean, an academic strategic lead (head of the mechanical engineering discipline), an academic Team lead, and a senior lecturer for mechanical engineering courses. Dr Shaomin Wu is Professor of Business/Applied Statistics at Kent Business School, University of Kent, UK. His research interests include Business Data Analysis, Reliability Mathematics, Applied Stochastic Processes. Shaomin is an associate editor of journals and serves as a member of the editorial board of several journals. He has co-chaired four international conferences on reliability and acted as scientific committee members by more than 30 international conferences. He has also edited five journal special issues and has published over 100 papers in academic journals. Professor Wu has also won research funding from prestigious funding bodies in the UK.

Ümit Deniz GÖKER received her Ph.D. on ‘Shock Wave Structures in Solar Plasma’ and attended a project on ‘The Design of Turbopumps Using Liquified Fuel and Cavitation Optimization’ in 2010 at the Ege University and İstanbul Technical University, respectively. She was a Postdoctoral Fellow at Bosphorus University between the years 2011-2017. She worked at the National Defense University, Air Force Academy, as an Associate Professor between the years 2018-2021 before she received her professorship status in November, 2024. She was at the Czech Academy of Sciences, between the years 2022-2024 for Sabbatical Fellow. She is currently working as a Professor at Beykent University. Her research interests include Solar Physics, Near-Space Physics, Plasma Physics, Climate Change, and Aeronautics and Astronautics Engineering
